Having fun at work is the most important thing for job satisfaction among New Zealanders but their employers see brand as the decisive factor, finds a survey conducted by HR consultancy Clarian Human Resources and Massey University.

Fun was listed as the top priority by 50% of the workers in the survey of 612 individuals, while 71% of employers thought their product and brand reputation was the most important factor in attracting talent (71%), followed by being a stable market leader (68%).

The New Zealand dollar may set a record high against the euro this week as further bad news ignites warnings the region’s leaders are far from finding a solution to the debt crisis and US data shows the market strengthening.

The kiwi dollar recently traded at 61.38 euro cents, up from 61.05 cents on Friday at 5pm. Half of UK students would are considering leaving the country to seek work abroad upon graduating.

Figures from the Trendence Graduate Barometer UK edition found, of the 15,000 UK students surveyed, the top five countries students would relocate to are the US (63%), Australia (47%), Canada (38%), France (35%) and New Zealand (33%).
