Salary and quick career progression are no longer the main concerns for jobseekers, recruitment agency Hays says, with candidates now focusing on a range of employment factors.
Candidates have become a lot more selective overall, the recruiter says, and often take into account factors including team stability and development opportunities when deciding on a new role.

An uncertain jobs market in London means limited companycontractors could enjoy high demand for their services for some time. That is the suggestion of a new report by recruitment specialist Morgan McKinley, which showed that job vacancies in the financial services sector declined by eight per cent between February and March.

United Kingdom: UK job vacancies ‘rose in March’

The number of job vacancies in March grew at its fastest rate for eight months, led by the IT and computing sector, a report has said. The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) report also said that permanent staff placements rose for the third month in a row.
