Lower salaries and smaller bonuses are to be expected next year, reported The Straits Times.

Economists and recruitment professionals that the paper talked to said this in reaction to the Ministry of Trade and Industry’s (MTI) announcement yesterday, when it issued a forecast for full-year economic growth next year of just 1 per cent to 3 per cent.

On a positive note, those they spoke to also said job losses may be ‘relatively limited’.
